Having automated external defibrillators (AEDs) onsite is crucial for survival, as immediate defibrillation increases chances significantly. Implementing an AED program, including training and accessibility, transforms workplaces into heart-safe environments, prioritizing health and safety.
OSHA encourages employers to provide AEDs in the workplace and advises that AEDs be considered for inclusion in workplace first aid programs.
